Wade Patrick Hemphill, 72, of Clinton passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home. Services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Church of the Open Door. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the service hour Saturday at the church. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements. Wade was born October 8, 1949 in Athens, Alabama the son of Bryant Patrick and Lillie Mae (Nichols) Hemphill. Wade married Babette Dubois April 9, 2006 in Clinton.
Wade had been an insurance agent for many years and more recently had been a greeter at Walmart.
He was a member of the Church of the Open Door, Clinton.
Survivors include his wife, Babette of Clinton, IA; daughters, Mary (Justin) Chapman of Maple Park, IL; Sara (Chad) Kisner of Marshall, MN and Julie (Jeff) Murphy of West Des Moines, IA; four grandchildren; and sisters, Carol (Stan) Gordon of St. Charles, IL and Jo (Paul) Miller of Clinton, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Memorials may be made to the family.
