Funeral services for Miss Gertrude Freese, 64, were held Monday in the Chapman Funeral Home, Wheatland. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Miss Freese died in Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids Friday after being confined to the hospital for four weeks following a stroke.

Gertrude Louise Freese was born Oct. 26, 1899 in Wheatland, the daughter of Herman and Alvena Reinking Freese. She had been employed for a number of years with Standard Oil Co. in Davenport.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Wilma Russell and Mrs. Emil (Mabel) Endorf of Wheatland and Miss Lena Freese of Davenport also one brother, Everett Freese of Indianapolis, Ind.
