Kathryn M. Witt, 83, of United Manor, died Tuesday in her home.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday in Schultz-McGinnis Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley.
Ms. Witt was born Decemeber 30, 1903, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, to Johannes and Rose Bey Witt. She was reared in the McCausland area and lived in Rock Island before moving to DeWitt in 1974.
She was employed for 35 years as a machine operator for Strombeck Manufacturing, East Moline, retiring in 1971. She was a member of Aerie No. 956, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aux., Rock Island, and the union where she was employed.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen M. Funkhouser of Pleasant Valley, Iowa; a son, John H. Luppen, of Davenport; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; a sister, Ida Mae Nightengale of Moline; and five brothers, Ray and Ben of Long Grove, Arnold and Carl of Davenport, and Richard of DeWitt.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
