The Clinton Herald Thursday July 12, 1984 p. 24 John Troy, 74, formerly of DeWitt, died Wednesday in Royal Elm Nursing Home, Elmwood Park, Ill. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Anthony Conrad officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday in Hanrahan Funeral Home, DeWitt, where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. He was born Jan. 7, 1909, in DeWitt, the son of Peter and Margaret Tumpane Troy. He was a retired accountant with Metro Sanitary District Chicago. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Peter (Margaret) McGinn of DeWitt, and Helen Troy and Sr. Margaretona, both of Chicago.
