The Clinton Herald Friday November 24, 1967 p. 11 Miss Mame E. Tumpane, 90, long-time DeWitt resident, died Thursday morning at the Kahl Home in Davenport, where she had lived for several years. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Catholic church with Rev. John Hynes, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanrahan funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday. The parish rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Sunday. Mame Tumpane was born July 8, 1877 at Grand Mound, the daughter of William and Mary Glynn Tumpane. She was educated at St. Joseph's school in DeWitt. She was member of the Altar and Rosary society, St. Francis Xavier guild. Her only survivors are nieces and nephews.
