THe Clinton Herald Tuesday September 28, 1993 p. 9 Clarence E. Craig, 90, 409 11th Street, DeWitt, died Monday in his home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Jack Denning officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt, where a 7:30 p.m. scripture service will be conducted. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, DeWitt. Pallbearers will be Jerry Kedley, Roger Weller, Liburn McCardle, Donald Smith, Dana English and Tim Peters. Mr. Craig was born Sept. 15, 1903, in Amboy, Ill., to Lewis L. and Anna Farver Craig. He married Agnita Crowley, March 31, 1951 in DeWitt. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was a independent contractor, carpenter, and cabinet maker. He made the altar and lectern at St. Joseph Church. He enjoyed golf, gardening and playing billiards. Survivors include his wife, Agnita; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Cassandra) Miller of DeWitt, two grandchildren; a brother, Lester Craig of Plainview, Minn.; a half-brother, Fred Beach of St. Charles, Ill. He was preceded in death by a son, four sisters, and a brother. Death date: Sept. 27, 1993.
