The Clinton Herald Wednesday August 14, 1985 p. 24 Raymond C. Connole, 69, of 601 Sharon Lane, formerly of DeWitt and Davenport, died Friday in Veteran Hospital, Pineville, La. The funeral was Monday in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Alexandria, La., with burial in National Cemetery, Pineville, La. Mr. Connole was born Nov. 25, 1915, in DeWitt, to Joseph C. and Helen Carlin Connole. He married Odessa Slocum, Aug. 10, 1942, in North Carolina. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, DeWitt, and lived in Davenport before moving to Texas and then to Louisiana. Mr. Connole was a retired Civil Service employee and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond of Sherman, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Paula) Askelson of Orion, Ill., Mrs. Phyllis Reighard of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Ron (Lura) Holquist of Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Kross of Clinton and Mrs. Patrick (Elsie) Crowley of Welton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
