Services for Viola J. Reiling, 89, of Tipton, formerly of DeWitt, were at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 at Toronto Community Church. Burial was in Lost Nation Cemetery. Rev. Harold Koenig, St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wheatland, officiated.
Joylenne McFarland was the organist, and vocalists were Annette Lahey, Janine McClimon and Gayla Eads.
Pallbearers were David Bauer, Robert Weiland, Daniel, Ross and Mark Reiling, Ricky Kagemann, Todd Pewe and Dennis McCormick.
Mrs. Reiling died Monday, Aug. 14 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.
Viola Timm was born June 11, 1906, in Lost Nation, the daughter of Albert and Christina Busch Timm. She married George Reiling on June 11, 1925, in Lost Nation. He died in 1953.
She was a member of the church.
Survivors include daughters, Fern Bauer, Norma Sheldon and Elaine McCormick, all of DeWitt; Phyllis Weiland, Davenport; and Gloria Kagemann, Minonk, Ill.; sons, Virtus, Clarence, Kenneth, Ocean Springs, Miss.; Roland, Wheatland; Larry, Walcott; Wayne, Davenport; and LaVerne, Port Byron, Ill.; 36 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reiling was also preceded in death by a daughter and two grandchildren.
