Henry Frederick Endorf was born the 22nd day of November, 1889 on the farm three miles south of Toronto, Iowa. In infancy he was baptized in the German Reformed church at Wheatland, Iowa.

When he was one year and six months of age he was stricken with the dread disease, scarlet fever and was left an invalid. At the age of three and one half years his father, Frederick Endorf, died. When he was ten years of age he was taken to the State Institution for the feeble minded located at Glenwood, Iowa, where he could receive better care and where his mental condition might be helped. No permanent cure ever was effected. He remained at the institution until his death, on October 8, 1920, after a short illness of acute enteritis at the age of 40 years, 10 months and 21 days.

He leaves besides his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schutt, there sisters, Mrs. Julius Miller, Mrs. A. M. Reidesel, and Mrs. August Miller and four brothers, Herman Endorf Otto Schutt, Herbert Schutt, and Robert Schutt. One brother, Lambert Schutt, died Oct. 12, 1918.

Funeral services were held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schutt, in Toronto, on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m., burial in Toronto cemetery, Rev. D. F. Boomershine officiating.
