Funeral set for Bertha DuToit, 93

Mrs. George (Bertha) DuToit, 93, of 929 17th NE, died Friday at a Mason City nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Loren McClean, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Ruth Patton will be the organist. David Friedley will be the vocalist.
Mrs. DuToit was born in Indiana, the daughter of Albert and Caroline (Myers) Hildreth. She was married to George DuToit in September 1897 in Dighton, Kan.
Survivors include a son, Floyd, Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Mrs. Arch (Mabel) Anderson, Kasson, Minn.; Mrs. Laone Beery, Mason City, and Mrs. Noble (Ruth) Rasmussen, Des Moines; 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. DuToit had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Beery, since 1968.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1947, a son and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons; Robert DuToit, Ray Rasmussen, Robert Hansmeier, Ralph Watson, Robert Birkholz, Duane Sabin and William Moore.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Toledo.
Visitation was to be after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Hogan-Bremer Chapel.
