The Clinton Herald Saturday March 9, 1985 p. 14 The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church for Lawrence J. Halbach, 81, formerly of 1316 Pershing Blvd., who died Wednesday in his home in St. Cloud. The Rev. Lou Leonhardt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Clinton Chapel of the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Halbach was born Feb. 6, 1904, in Primghar, Iowa, to Henry J. and Katharine Schuller Halbach. He married Bernice McGrath, Oct. 1, 1928, in Clinton. She died in 1975. Mr. Halbach married Margaret Holden in 1978. He attended the University of Iowa, and Creighton University. Mr. Halbach joined Champion Milling and Grain in 1926 in the traffic and billing department. In 1928, he became plant superintendent, and became feed ingredient purchasing agent when Champion became Pillsbury Feed Mills, a division of Pillsbury Flour Mills. Survivors include his wife; a son, James of Minnetonka, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Blossfeld of Grand Rapids, Mich.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Francis Gray of Chicago; and a brother, Elvin of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his first wife and a brother.
