The Clinton Herald Monday November 23, 1925 p. 8 Mrs. Eva Brinkmann, aged 86 years, passed away Saturday evening at 8:15 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Arkenberg in Charlotte, following a two months illness. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning, with Solemn Requiem High Mass at 9:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's church, Sugar Creek. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek cemetery. Eva Borman was born in Prussia, Germany, March 23, 1839. She was united in marriage to Joseph Brinkman, October 28, 1858. Foiurteen children were born to this union, three passed away in infancy and a daughter Miss Helen died at the age of twenty-two years. The following sons and daughters survive: Otto Brinkmann of Charlotte, John Brinkman of Estherville, Jacob Brinkmann of Early, Henry and Joseph Brinkmann of Cavour, S.D., Mrs. Barbara Mannemann of Lyons, Mrs. Robert Powers of Preston, Mrs. Henry Arkenberg of Charlotte, Mrs. John Dolan o Charlotte; on brother John Borman of Preston, forty-six grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
