The Clinton Herald Monday December 12, 1983 p. 20 Mass of the Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mrs. Leon (Beatrice) Cavanaugh, 76, of 206 1/2 22nd Ave. S. She died Saturday in The Alverno. The Rev. Paul Connolly officiated. Burial was in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Delaney-Vulich Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Dan and Dean McChurch, Craig and Brent Cavanaugh, John and Kyle Carstensen and John Gavin. Mrs. Cavanaugh was born July 1, 1907, in Elvira, to Harry and Anna Crosby Rodefer. She married Leon James Cavanaugh July 2, 1925, in Davenport. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Patricia) Carstensen of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Robert E. Cavanaugh of Crystal Lake, Ill., and David L. Cavanaugh of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Delaney of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
