Carolyn Jean Trude, age 73 of Camanche, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at her home. According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 23rd at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 AM until the service hour on Thursday. Inurnment will be at Springdale Cemetery.
Carolyn was born in Clinton on August 25, 1946, the daughter of Gerald and Lola (Johnson) Wentworth. She married Richard "Butch" Trude on July 24, 1970. Butch passed away in 1999. Carolyn was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, bowling, fishing, camping and her dogs.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Jeanette (Mike Liphardt) Abbott of DeWitt, Rob Taylor of Marion, IA, Gene (Opie) Taylor of Camanche, Arnie (Rachel) Trude of Middleburg, FL, Richard Trude Jr. of Clinton, and Matthew Richmond of Camanche; 27 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; three brothers, Richard "Dick" (Rosie) Wentworth of Camanche, Rod (Maggie) Wentworth of Camanche, and Bob (Cheryle) Johnson of Kewanee, IL; two sisters, Trish (Jeff) Devers of Camanche and Cindy Johnson of Clinton and several nieces and nephews; including a special niece who was like a daughter to her, Jillian (David) Behr of Blue Springs, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Butch and an infant sister. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
