Helenea M. Graves age 41, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at her home. Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Pape Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be 10:00 AM Monday at First Baptist Church, Clinton.
Helenea was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 2, 1979, the daughter of Danny and Meridee (Anderson) Bitler. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1997. Helenea married Chris Graves on October 19, 2002 in Fulton. Helenea was Branch Manager for Clinton National Bank at their Lincolnway location and served as Assistant Vice-President. She had attended the First Baptist Church. Helenea was a member of the Whitter PTA, Jr. Achievement, Clinton Chamber of Commerce, Skyline Center Board of Directors and the American Heart Association's Clinton Virtual Go Red for Women. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, her kids sporting events and following the Minnesota Twins.
Helenea is survived by her husband Chris; 2 children, Kailyn and Eli both at home; her parents, Danny and Meridee Bitler of Albany; 2 sisters, Sarah (Dustin) Peterson of Rapids City, IL and Kim (Josh) Near of Little Elm, TX; her grandmother, Beryl Anderson of Cottage Grove, MN; her mother and father-in-law, Becky and Mike Graves of Clinton; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Carrie Graves of Camanche; sister and brother-in-law, Jenny (Jeff) Tucker of Camanche; many aunts, uncles, cousins; God parents, Michael Anderson, Mark Anderson, and Sheridan "Jerry" Petersen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and God mother, Donna Petersen. Memorials may be made to the children's educational fund and sent to Clinton National Bank (Helenea Graves Memorial Fund).
