Earl Christiansen died Wednesday night at 10:30 o'clock at the home of his uncle, Chas. Levsen, northeast of DeWitt. He has been ill for several months and became dangerously so a few hours before his death. He was born June 11, 1891, at Clinton, attending rural and DeWitt public schools, and grew up to a fine young manhood here. He was married Aug. 20, 1913, to Florence Clement, whose untimely death occurred two weeks ago. A two months' old infant, Margaret Lucille, survives, as does his mother, Mrs. Dora Christiansen.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, services to be held at his late residence in North DeWitt, where the remains were taken last night.

Funeral services for the late Earl Christensen was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence in north DeWitt, and were conducted by Rev. R. K. Chapman of the Congregational church and Rev. C. H. Mitchell of the United Presbyterian. Appropriate music was furnished by Mrs. Chapman and daughter Jessie, Robert Henderson and Charles Eales. The Knights of Pythias of which order deceased was a member, attended in a body. Friends who acted as pallbearers were William Gostic, William Weston, Bruno Anderson, James Irons, S. R. Peters and B. E. Allen. Some of the out-of-town people present were Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Howson and Miss Mae Barker of Low Moor, Mr. and Mrs. William Dann of Calamus, Mrs. Fred Rice and Mrs. C. A. Young, Low Moor.
