Mrs. Earl Christiensen died this morning at three o'clock of erysipelas. She had been ill about five weeks and everything possible was done to prevent the tragic ending, but without avail.

Deceased was born on a farm near Malone and was about twenty-three years of age. She was the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Clement and has spent her life in this county.

She attended High school in DeWitt and later graduated from the Clinton Business college. Previous to her marriage to Earl C. Christiansen two years ago last August, she was assistant cashier in the DeWitt Savings bank.

On January 8, 1915, a little daughter was born to them, who with the husband, parents and one sister, Margaret, survive.

No funeral arrangements have as yet been made.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Earl Christiansen will be held at the Residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and will be conducted by Rev. R. K. Chapman and C. H. Mitchell.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Earl Christiansen was held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence in North DeWitt, conducted by Reverends R. K. Chapman and C. H. Mitchell and was very largely attended. The friends of the deceased and her bereaved family, taking this opportunity of paying their last tribute of love and affection. Music was furnished by Miss Alice Beard, Mrs. E. L. Conover, G. H. Christensen and Dr. R. A. Emmons. The floral offerings were beautiful and in great abundance. Those who acted as pall bearers were William Weston, William Gostic, Bruno Anderson, Bert Allen, James Irons and Sample Peters. Interment was made in Elwood cemetery. Some of the out of town people who attended the funeral were Mrs. Chris Edens, Mrs. Jas. Wagner and Forest Cousins, of Clinton; J. W. Smith and family of Elira, Wm. Levsen and family of Grand Mound, Wm. Clement, Chas. Cousins and Mr. and Mrs. Rolla Pelham of Malone.
