The remains of Mrs. Christina Barker, aunt of L. W. and Judge A. P. Barker of this city, reached Clinton this morning from Danbury, Iowa, where her death occurred a few days ago. The remains were taken to the Bragonier & Behr undertaking establishment, and the funeral was held this morning, the cortege going to Camanche, where funeral services were held in the First Baptist church, followed by interment in the cemetery there.
Mrs. Barker was 89 years of age, and was an old resident of Camanche. Her husband, Addison Barker, passed away 16 years ago. The family lived for many years on a farm near Camanche, and later in the town. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Barker went to Danbury, Iowa, where she had since made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Edith Canty. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Barker is survived by two sons, Kilmer Barker of Texas and Wendell Barker of Chicago, both of whom were with her when she passed away, and who accompanied the remains to Clinton. Mrs. Canty also came to this city with the funeral party, also a grandson, Horace Canty.
Mrs. Barker was a consistent member of the Baptist church, and during her residence in Camanche was a faithful member of the Baptist congregation there.

Camanche, Iowa, Oct. 20--The funeral services for the late Mrs. Addison Barker were held at the Baptist church Tuesday morning. Mrs. Barker was an old resident of this city. A few years ago Mrs. Barker went to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Edith Canty at Danbury, Iowa.
The Rev. G. R. Cady of the First Congregational church of Clinton had charge of the services at the Baptist church here last Sunday evening.
Mrs. Edith Canty of Danbury brought the body of her mother, Mrs. Barker to this city Tuesday morning for burial.
Kilmer Barker of Texas and Wendell Barker, of Chicago, accompanied the remains of their mother to Camanche Tuesday.
