Miss Williams, colored, a former resident of this city, passed away yesterday at Independence, Iowa. The remains are to be brought to Clinton for interment, reaching here this afternoon. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The remains of Mrs. Annabel Williams, aged 35 years, the colored woman who passed away yesterday at Independence reached Clinton at 5 o'clock Wednesday evening, and were taken to the Estabrooks undertaking establishment on Second street. The funeral will be held from the undertaking rooms to the A.M.E. church at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. Only three members of the family of the deceased survive, her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper, a brother, J. W. Cooper of this city, and a brother, Charles, in Toledo, Ohio.
