Mrs. Carolyn Conrad Kruse died at her home in this city on West Exchange street Sunday morning at 4 o'clock. The death came as a shock to the family as she had only been ill since Wednesday.

Miss Carolyn Guest was born in Holstein Germany May 16th, 1861. She was married in Germany to Conrad Kruse in 18?? and came to this country shortly afterward and settled west of Lyons and has lived in this vicinity ever since. Besides her husband she leaves four daughters, Mrs. Emma ?? of Fulton, Mrs. Martin Tehan of Rock Island, Mrs. Elmer Bailey of Clinton and Miss Dora Kruse, at home. She also leaves three sons, Fred Kruse of Dakota, Will Kruse of Fulton and Charles Kruse at home. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 from the home on Exchange street.
