Ashley Moore died Saturday night, September 1, at 10:30 o'clock, at Mason City, Ia.

Deceased was born Sept. 5, 1833, at Rochester, N.Y. For 36 years he was a resident of this county. His wife preceded him in 1871.

Surviving to mourn his loss are five daughters, Mrs. Avery of Clinton; Mrs. Ella Clodfelder of Davenport, Ia., Mrs. Nettie Leetch of Gamberry,. Ia., Mrs. Minnie Lowderbaugh, Little Shata, California, Mrs. Olive Herrick of Fulton, Ill., two sons, Emmet C. Moore of Davenport and E. J. Moore of this city, 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The body arrived here Monday morning and funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of his son, Edward Moore, 549 Camanche avenue. The Rev. M. J. Locke of the First Methodist church will officiate and interment will be made at the Sheron cemetery, five miles southeast of Erie, Ill. America lodge and the Odd Fellows are to have charge at the grave.

The funeral of Ashley Moore was held this morning at 10 o'clock from the home of his son, Ed Moore, 549 Camanche avenue. The Rev. M. J. Locke of the First Methodist church officiated and interment was made at Sherron cemetery, five miles east of Erie, Ill. The pallbearers were: Milo Moore, of Savanna, Ill.; George Moore of Davenport, Ia.; Charles Avery, Monte Avery, Jack Anderson and L. H. Bowman of this city, the first five being grandsons of the deceased.

From out of the city to attend the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Milo A. Moore, Savanna, Ill.; Mrs. Mettie Leetch, of Gamberry, Ia.; Mrs. Audrey E. Pitner and son Dick, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. May Shumacker, Davenport; Emmett Moore, Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Herrick of Fulton, Ill.
