Word has just been received in Clinton of the death of Mrs. Clara Throe of Joseph, Oregon, who passed away in a hospital at Enterprise, Ore., on August 16, following an operation to which she submitted August 12. She will be remembered in Clinton county as the daughter of Daniel Fovargue, one of the old pioneer settlers of the county, who for many years in the early days owned and operated the Red Flour Mill at Elk River.

Last year Mrs. Throe visited for five or six months with friends and relatives in this city, who will regret to learn of her sudden death.

The deceased was 63 years of age, and is survived by her mourning husband and eight children, five sons and three daughters, all residing in that locality in Oregon.
