Mohr Funeral is Saturday
Andover -- Florence E. Mohr, 97, of rural Andover, died Tuesday at her home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Andover. The Rev. Judy Wolf, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery, rural Goose Lake. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the church. The Law-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Feb. 15, 1908, in rural Bryant to Hans and Katie Claussen Henningsen. She married Otto Mohr on Aug. 31, 1927, at Wartburg College Chapel, Clinton. He died in January.
She attended Hamshire Township Country School while living and working on a farm with her parents.
Following her marriage, she and her husband farmed.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy (Leland) Wilcke of Andover and Mrs. Marilyn (Emmett) Matthiesen of Teeds Grove; five grand children; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one sister and one brother.
