Warner Funeral is Wednesday
Lanark, Ill -- Doris I. Warner, 85, of Lanark, died Saturday at Freeport (Ill.) Health Network Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lanark United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kathryn Ling will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Cremation rites will follow the funeral service and inurnment will be in the Lanark Cemetery at a later date. The Law-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Nov. 2, 1919, to Jacob and Minnie Engen Walkey in Beloit, Wis. She married Paul Warner on Oct. 7, 1939 in Dubuque.
She graduated from South Beloit High School in 1937. Following high school, she attended Northern Illinois University.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lanark and United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, John E. Warner of McHenry, Ill., and James (Vicki) Warner of Linchberg, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Jane (Terry) Weber of Colleyville, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Rose Stadel of Normal, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may made [sic] to the Lanark Public Library in her name.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two sisters and one brother.
