Carl Domann aged 73 years, passed away Sunday morning at 7:30 o'clock at the home, 318 Fifteenth avenue, following an operation.

The deceased was born Jan. 16, 1844, in Pommerania, Germany. In 1865 he was married to Philippine Ratuse, to which union ten children were born. Mrs. Domann died in 1898, and with a son and two daughters he came to America in the fall of the same year. While in Germany, he was a public school teacher and was favored with a pension when he departed for this country allowing him to live in leisure here. He had been ailing for several months and Saturday became acutely ill.

Surviving to mourn his death are four sons, Max of Germany, Gustave of Clinton, Waldo of Clinton and Paul of Moline, three daughters, Mrs. Anna Bartz, Washington state, Mrs. Louise Henningsen, and Mrs. Elsbech Rohoe, of this city; one sister in Berlin, Germany, and 20 grandchildren.

Funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the late home of Fifteenth avenue. The Rev. Hugo Grimm of St. John's Lutheran church will officiate and burial will be made in Springdale cemetery.

Funeral services for Carl Domann were held this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the late home, 318 Fifteenth avenue. The Rev. Hugo Grimm of St. John's Lutheran church of Lyons officiated in German and English and interment was made in Springdale cemetery. The pallbearers were the following: John Ohrt, Eugene Banboix, K. Johansen, Detlef Paysen, John Broderson and John Raimig.
