Thomas Calpin passed away at his home 435 Tenth avenue at eight o'clock Monday evening after an illness lasting about three months. The deceased had lived in Clinton about thirty-five years, with the exception of a few years spent at Eagle Grove, Iowa, in the employ of the Chicago and North Western railway. After his return to this city and up to the time of his last illness he remained in the employ of the same company in shop work.

He was a member of Horseshoe camp, No. 702, M.W.A. and of Clinton Local Loyal Order of Moose.

Mr. Calpin leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Calpin, one daughter, Mrs. William M'Kenna and one son, John F. Calpin, also a step daughter, Mrs. T. H. Coveny, all of this city and four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mary O'Malley and a brother, Anthony Calpin, both of Chicago,

The funeral will be held Thursday morning at nine o'clock from the late residence, 435 Tenth avenue, to St. Mary's church, where a solemn high mass will be celebrated followed by burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Friends are asked to kindly omit sending flowers.
