Grand Mound, Iowa, Aug. 3--The remains of the late Mrs. Henry Schumacher who died at her son's home in Grand Island, Nebraska, arrived here early Wednesday morning and were taken to J. W. Kelly's undertaking department and at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon funeral services were held at the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Viche of Maquoketa, after which interment was made beside her departed husband in Evergreen cemetery.

Deceased was born in Holstein, Germany in 1826 and was united in marriage with Henry Schumacher in 1857. Soon after they came to America and for many years the deceased resided in Grand Mound and vicinity.

The later years of her life were spent with her son, Henry and family and 4 years past she had been an invalid until Death Angel came to release her from her earthly sufferings.

She is survived by two sons and daughters besides several grandchildren and a host of old time friends who were in attendance at the funeral.

The pall bearers were P. H. Blunk, Louie Schoenfeldt, Carl Mueller, Fritz Behnk, J. F. Rack and Henry Hamer.
