John Sullivan, aged 46, of Almont, died at Mercy hospital at 1:30 a.m. today of pneumonia. He was brought here for care Saturday.

He is survived by his father and a sister, Delia. He was well known and liked in his home community. The body will be sent to Almont this afternoon and services will be held Monday morning at Sabula.

The funeral of the late John B. Sullivan was held Monday morning from his late home with requiem high mass at St. Peter's church in Sabula. Rev. Father Tibean was celebrant, assisted by Rev. Hayes of Preston and Rev. Anti of Savanna. Interment was made in the Sabula cemetery. The pall bearers were George McClintock, John Doyle, Thomas Lyons, William Mulligan, B. McBride and J. F. McGrath.

Mr. Sullivan's death which occurred at Mercy hospital from pneumonia, brief mention of which has been made in these columns, was born on a farm near Lyons about 46 years ago and six years later moved with his parents to the farm he occupied at the time of his death.

He received a common school education and was also a graduate of the Fulton Business college. He leaves to mourn his death besides his aged father, two sisters, Sister Mary Adjustin of Dubuque and Delia at home.

He was a favorite among his fellow men, having a kind and generous disposition and possessed of many excellent traits.

Among those from a distance to attend the funeral were A. J. Mallon and Bernard and Leonard Reynolds, of Petersville, cousins of the deceased.

John B. Sullivan Jr. who died at Mercy hospital will be buried Monday. The funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the church in Sabula, where mass will be celebrated. The funeral party will leave the home in Almont at 8 a.m.
