Mrs. Ellen R. Sullivan, aged 81, died at 12:55 p.m. today at the residence of H. E. Steele, 213 Howes street, where she made her home with her son, C. D. Sullivan. She had been ill since November from a stroke of paralysis. She formerly lived in Davenport.

Mrs. Sullivan was the mother of fourteen children, six of whom survive her. They are Louis and C. D. of Clinton, George and Carrie of California, Charles in Chicago and Miss Adelaide Sullivan of Independence, Ia. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Sullivan, who died yesterday at her home, 213 Howes street, will be held today at 4 p.m. at the residence. The body will be taken to Chicago for burial in Oakwood cemetery, leaving here Friday morning.

Ladies of the Woman's Relief Corps, of which Mrs. Sullivan was an active member, will attend the services in a body. Rev. G. A. Hess of the Christian church will officiate.
