Chris Andresen, 419 Elm St., 75 years of age, committed suicide at 3:15 o'clock this afternoon by hanging. The lifeless body was found in his bedroom. He has been in ill health for some time and it is supposed this was the cause of the act.

Christian William Andresen, who ended his life Monday afternoon by hanging, as mentioned exclusively in the columns of the ADVERTISER yesterday was 74 years old, last December, having been born in 1842, in Langhorn, Germany. The deceased was married to Anna Dorothy Nickelsen in the old country in the year 1872. In 1883 he came to America with his wife and five children, settling at Clinton where he has been a resident ever since.

Mr. Andresen was employed as gardner on the Ryder fruit farm for the past 16 years. He had been ailing for 25 years and the family attribute continued despondency to have caused his rash act.

Those who survive to mourn his death besides his wife, are four daughters, Mrs. Henry Welde, of California; Mrs. Charles Sporman, Mrs. Clyde Brown and Mrs. William Pumper of this city; two sons, Peter and Rudolph also of Clinton; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the family residence at 419 Elm street. The Rev. J. S. Leamer will officiate and burial will be made at Springdale.

The remains of the late Christian William Andresen were laid to rest at Springdale cemetery this afternoon. Services were conducted at the home, 419 Elm street at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. J. S. Leamer of the St. Paul's Lutheran church.

The active pallbearers were Thomas Malone, Peter Kalt, Harvey Spidle, Gens Munson, Herman Levene, and Peter Thusen.
