10 July 1917 - The Clinton Advertiser page 6

The funeral of Mrs. Celia Tobin Lanagan was held this morning from St. Patrick's church. There was a solemn high mass at which Rev. J. A. Murray pastor of St. Patrick's was celebrant. Rev. D. J. Riordon of Grand Mound was deacon, Rev. John Couglin of Villa Nova was sub-deacon and Rev. J. S. Peters of St. Patrick's, master of ceremonies.

Besides these in the Sanctuary were Very Rev. J. J. Tommey of Cedar Rapids and Rev. John Murphy, Mercy hospital. A great number of friends attended the services and paid their last tribute to a kind and lovable friend. Mrs. Lanagan was a highly respected member of St. Patrick's parish and in later years since the death of her husband, Mr. Denis Lanagan, of Goose Lake, was employed by Rev. Father Riordan of Grand Mound, where she was loved and esteemed by all who knew her.

The immediate relatives who will mourn her loss are Mrs. John Tobin, her mother--five sisters, Mrs. Mike Murphy of Sumner, Iowa; Sister Mary Celia of Mt. Alverno; Gertrude, Pauline and Grace at home and a brother, Maurice.

The pall bearers were John A. O'Niel, James McGonegle, John W. Owens, Martin Burke, Patrick O'Connor and James Dorsey.

Mrs. Ella Klinky and daughter, of Riverside, Ill, were among the out of town relatives.
