Miss Anna Lease died last night at 12 o'clock at her home in West DeWitt. She was about sixty years of age and had been an invalid for a great many years. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Wm. Lease, and one brother. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.

At ten o'clock Saturday morning the funeral of the late Miss Anna Lease was held at the Lease residence in West DeWitt. Reverend W. H. Mitchell, pastor of the M.E. church conducted the services and a quartet Messrs. Mitchell and G. M. Smith and Mesdames W. E. Saltmarsh and E. J. Miller sang, "Abide With Me" and "He Knows". A brief sermon and obituary were given and at the close a poem entitled "Beyond" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, was read by Rev. Mitchell. Those who acted as pall bearers were Messrs. L. H. Thorne, W. J. Cameron, R. M. Smith, G. M. Smith, Louis Christensen and C. A. Eggleston. The remains were taken by automobile to Maquoketa for burial.
