Wilhelm F. B. Martensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Martensen, of west of Lyons, passed away this morning, after a year's illness with consumption. The news of his death will come as a great shock to his many friends. At the time of his death he was 18 years, 4 months and 6 days.

Deceased was born October 22, 1896, west of Lyons, where he has lived with his parents ever since.

He is survived by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon with short services at the home at 1 o'clock and then to St. John's Lutheran church, where the funeral services will be held at two o'clock. Rev. Hugo Grimm will officiate in the German and English languages.

The funeral of the late Wilhelm Martensen was held yesterday afternoon with short services at his home west of Lyons. The funeral sermon was preached at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church by Rev. Hugo Grimm. The school children sang two hymns. The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings were beautiful. The pall bearers were Arnold Hansen, Hugo Klinge, Fred Mohr, Harold Hansen, Arthur Mohr, and Rudolph Asmussen. Interment was made in Oakland cemetery.
