After a lingering illness of about two years' duration, Patrick Ruddy of this city passed away Thursday evening at his home, 722 North Seventh street, death being due to a complication of diseases. Mr. Ruddy's illness was not serious until the last few days when his recovery was not expected.

The deceased was born in Ireland March 17, 1861, and came to this country in 1881, coming direct to this city, where he has resided since that time. He was married here in January, 1883, and is survived by his wife, four sons, John, William, Bernard and James, and one daughter, Miss May Ruddy, of this city.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Irenaeus church and burial is to be made in Calvary cemetery.

Funeral services for the late Patrick Ruddy, who passed away on Thursday evening were held this morning at 9 o'clock from St. Irenaeus church, Father Comerford preaching the funeral sermon.

Burial was made in Calvary cemetery and the following acted as pallbearers: John Dever, Patrick Malloy, Arthur McClone, Peter Owens, William Behlke and Peter Slowie.
