DeWitt, Ia., April 7--William Kitchin died suddenly of uremic poisoning at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 6th, at his home about seven miles northeast of DeWitt. Deceased was born at Bryant, March 11, 1866, living in that vicinity the greater part of his life. He was married Sept. 6, 1894, to Eliza Fatchett and to them were born eleven children of whom ten survive. The funeral will be held Monday morning, leaving the home at 1 o'clock for Elvira, where services will be held in the Lutheran church, followed by interment in the Elvira cemetery.

Elvira, Ia., April 11--The funeral services of Mr. William Kitchen were held in the Lutheran church, of which he was a member on Monday noon. Rev. Leamer of Clinton preached from the latter part of Verse 10, Chapter 2, Revelations. Miss Bergendahl of Clinton rendered three selections. Mr. Kitchen was a member of the M.W.A. lodge of DeWitt, several members being the pallbearers. Mr. Kitchen leaves to mourn his death his wife, nee Miss Eliza Fatchett, seven sons and three daughters; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Huffman of Clinton and Mrs. Geo. Fatchett of Elvira, and many other relatives and friends. He was a good neighbor and was esteemed in the community in which he lived. Burial took place in the Elvira cemetery beside a little son, who died seven years ago. Those attending from out of town were Mrs. Frank Cross of Chicago, who is a niece; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Huffman of Clinton, Mrs. Rodefer of Clinton, Mr. John Fatchett and daughter, Mrs. Moore, of Lyons, Mr. and Mrs. George Fatchett of Folletts, Mrs. Aug. Storm of Bryant, Mr. Al Kitchen and two sisters of Almont, Mr. and Mrs. James Walker of DeWitt, Mr. and Mrs. John Fatchett, Jr., of Malone, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Scott of Malone, and several other relatives nearby.
