After an illness of a lengthy duration Sebastian Simmons aged 66 years died this morning at 5:10 o'clock at his home, 517 North Ninth street, death being due to a complication of diseases.

Deceased was born in Rhineland, Germany, April 24, and came to this country 36 years ago, coming direct to Lyons and has made his home here since that time. Two years after coming here he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Burken, by whom he is survived with the following children. Mrs. Frank Foster of this city, Clara of Dubuque, Sister Mary Lucina of Dubuque, Anton Simmons of Necora, Neb., Hobart, Frank and John of this city.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced later.

The S. Simmons funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Boniface church and burial is to be made in St. Boniface church. In addition to the survivors mentioned in a previous funeral account, Mr. Simmons leaves a sister, Mrs. B. Josten of this city, and a brother, Matt, in Germany; also seven grandchildren.
