The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church for Russell Lee Kratz, 64, of 261 16th Place, who died Saturday in Bluff Terrace Nursing Home.

The Rev. Leslie E. Pritchard will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today in Clinton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger May, David Kratz, Joe Macke, Richard Perryman, Frank Simmons and Brian Thoms.

Mr. Kratz was born Aug 18, 1922, in Chadwick, Ill., to John A. And Helen Jones Kratz. He married Betty Thoms Sept. 20, 1942, in Clinton. He was educated in the Chadwick public schools and was employed as a boiler operator at EI DuPont for 30 years retiring in 1982. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church; Loyal Order of the Moose No.363, Clinton; and Odeon Club; and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. David (Linda) Millard of Austin, Texas, and Mrs. John (Pam) Danneman of Dubuque; a son Stephen of Clinton; six grandchildren; a great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Ernie (Mildred) Sliger of Sun Valley, Nev.; and three brothers, John Kratz of Colona, Ill., Paul Brieske of Rowland Heights, Calif., and Marvin Brieske of Santa Maria, Calif.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter and two brothers.
