Mrs. Lily M. Kratz, 59, of 1130 N. 2nd St., died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in University Hospitals,Iowa City, where she had been a patient for three months. She had been in ill health for the last two years.

Friends may call at the Snell funeral home beginning at 7:30 p.m. today. Rev. M.S. Bredow will donduct services in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park.

Members of the Women of the Moose will meet at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home to pay their respects, and members of Clinton Rebekah lodge No.13 will meet at 7:30 p.m. today.

Lily Margaret Griebel, daughter of the late John and Anna Carstens Griebel, was born July 28,1895, in DeWitt. She was married to John A. Kratz in 1945 in Chicago, Ill., and he preceded her in death three years ago. Mrs. Kratz had been a resident here since 1945. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Clinton lodge of Rebekahs and the Army Mothers.

Surviving are three children by a former marriage, Mrs. Ann Bonaparte, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Betty Andrew, Webster City and John F. Scharff, Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren; four brothers, William F. of San Gabriel, Calif., Fred and Frank of DeWitt and Harry Griebel of Clinton and two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Woods, DeWitt and Mrs. Ida Mae Smith, Cleveland, Ohio.

In addtion to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, one son and on grandchild.
