DeWitt, Ia. March 15-- Mrs. Margaret Mulligan died this morning at about eight o'clock at Mercy hospital at Davenport. She was about eighty years of age and is survived by three sons: John, with whom she made her home, James, living near Grand Mound, and Daniel, living in the western part of the state. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, but the remains will be brought to DeWitt for interment in the Catholic cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Margaret Mulligan will be held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Sarah Whalen, 1436 West Seventh street, Davenport, Saturday morning at 7:30 o'clock, with services in St. Joseph's church in DeWitt at 10 o'clock. Burial will be made in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mrs. Mulligan, who lived on a farm west of DeWitt since 1858, passed away in Mercy hospital, Davenport, yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock. She was aged 85 years. Deceased was born in Tyrone, Ireland and immigrated to the United States in 1850. After living in Philadelphia six years, she moved to Davenport in 1856. Shortly after her marriage to John Mulligan in Davenport the couple moved to a farm two miles west of DeWitt. Here Mrs. Mulligan lived until a few months ago, when she and her son moved to Davenport. Mr. Mulligan died 45 years ago. Three sons survive, James of Grand Mound, John, with whom Mrs. Mulligan made her home, and Dan of Marcus county, Iowa, also a sister, Mrs. Sarah Whalen of Davenport, survives.
