A little son of John Schneider's near Wheatland, scarcely a year old, pulled the cork from the washing machine while his mother was out hanging up clothes and was scalded by the boiling suds. The little one lived but four hours. The funeral took place Saturday from the German Lutheran church at Wheatland. The sympathy of the entire community is with the afflicted ones.
