Death called from a life of promise, Milton P. Deltgen, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Deltgen, roadmaster of the C & N W Sunday night at 9:55 o'clock. He passed away at his home, 641 Tenth avenue after a short illness.
Milton Deltgen was born in Milwaukee, Wis., October 3, 1895. He came with his parents to Clinton at the age of 14, and attended St. Mary's school until his graduation when he entered the employ of his father as timekeeper.
He leaves besides his parents, three brothers and five sisters. They are Michael, Myron and Marshall, Margaret, Minnie, Madeline, Mildred and Marcella.
The funeral will be held at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning with solemn high mass by Monsignor E. J. McLaughlin.

A requiem high mass will be held at St. Mary's church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock for Milton P. Deltgen, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Deltgen, who died at the home of his parents Monday morning.

A requiem high mass was said this morning at St. Mary's church for Milton P. Deltgen. Special music was furnished by Mrs. Boyle and Mrs. Butler, who sang together "Lead Kindly Light". Mrs. Boyle sang at the burial service "A Perfect Day."
Young friends who acted as pallbearers were Albert Swanson, Victor Petersen, Gordon Skonberg, Frances Beaumeister, Milo Finch, Arthur Daley, Kenneth Anderson and Louis Mowers.
Those who attended the funeral from out of the city are: Mr. and Mrs. Max Frey, Andrew Daniel and Henry Bowers, Mrs. Jake Bowers, Arthur Hargreaves, Evanston, Ill.; John Deltgen, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Celia Borckes and daughter, Appleton, Wis.; David Evans, Main street, Evanston, Ill.; W. L. Campbell, Chicago; Irene Cullen, Watkins, Iowa; John Kenny, DeWitt; Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Burns, Lisbon; P. J. McAndrews, Sterling, Ill.; A. Clapp, Oak Park, Ill.
