Mrs. Julia Kelly, formerly Miss Julia Evers of Camanche, died Thursday evening in Detroit, after the birth of a baby, which followed its mother on Friday.
The bodies were sent to Camanche where the funeral was held Sunday afternoon with burial at Rosehill cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kamer of this city attended the funeral.
Mrs. Kelly leaves besides her husband, her parents, at Camanche and several brothers and sisters.

Camanche. Mrs. Julia Kelly passed away at her home in River Rouge, Mich., Jan. 11, 1917, leaving a baby one day old. Mrs. Kelly was well known throughout this vicinity, and the intelligence of her death was received with sorrow by her many friends.
The deceased, nee Julia Evers, was born in Camanche, Iowa, July 3, 1884 being 32 years, 6 months and 7 days of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to William A. Kelly of Detroit, Mich., in Davenport, Iowa, June 3, 1907. She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Evers, of this city; also four sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. Mae Anthony of Chicago, Ill.; Will Evers of this city; Mrs. Jennie Benham of Folletts, Iowa, Mrs. Fannie Hendricks of Richland, Mo., and Mrs. Florence Anderson of Kenosha, Wis. All were here for the funeral.
Mrs. Kelly was born and raised in this community. To know her was to love and respect her. She was best known in her home, as she was a faithful wife and a loving daughter--and a friend to all who knew her.
The body was brought to Camanche last Friday evening over the Chicago & Northwestern railway. The funeral was held from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Evers last Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. S. Leamer, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Clinton, officiating. Mrs. Cady and the Misses Beans sang.
The child passed away a day later and the body arrived Monday morning and was buried with the mother.
Those present at the funeral from out of town were: Mr. D. Littig of Davenport, Mrs. Dr. H. W. Lee of Joliet, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Haring of Folletts, Mr. and Mrs. May of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Kamer of Lyons, Mrs. Otto Luth and Mrs. Frank Kukel of Clinton.
