Mrs. Catherine Theisen, a former resident of Clinton, and mother of Charles Theisen of this city, passed away at her home in Davenport Sunday night at 7 o'clock.
Mrs. Theisen was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, 54 years ago. She came to America 35 years ago, and until two years ago, when Mr. Theisen died, she went to Chicago to make her home with her children there. A month ago she went to visit her daughter, Mrs. John Nelson, in Davenport, and was taken sick.
The body will be brought to Clinton for burial Wednesday. The funeral arrangements have not been arranged.
The surviving children are: Charles Theisen, Clinton; Mrs. John Nelson, Davenport; Mary and Loretta, Chicago.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Catherine Thiesen, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Nelson, in Davenport, will be held at the Evangelical Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The pastor, J. S. Leamer, will officiate. The body will be brought by way of the interurban and taken directly to the church.
Charles Thiesen, a son, of this city, is in Davenport. With him in the funeral party will be Mayme and Loretta Thiesen of Chicago, who have gone to Davenport, and Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson of that city.
Burial will be made at Springdale cemetery.

The body of Mrs. Catherine Thiesen, who died in Davenport, was brought to Clinton by way of the interurban Wednesday afternoon and taken to St. Paul's Lutheran church, where the funeral was held at 3 o'clock.
The pallbearers were Nis Work, Henry Specht, William Krakau, Hans Pepper, Herman Otto and Carl Witt.
Those who were here from out of the city are: Mr. and Mrs. Claus Thompson, Sabula, Iowa, Mrs. Bowersox, Davenport, Thomas Thiesen, Gladbrook.
