page 2Mrs. George Tompkins was laid to rest this afternoon in Springdale cemetery after funeral services at the home, 318 Eighth avenue. The Rev. Dr. Locke of the First Presbyterian church officiated.
The Methodist quartet, composed of F. H. Buren, A. R. Rathbun, Mrs. J. G. Phillips and Mrs. F. H. Buren furnished the special music.
The pallbearers were A. B. Rathbun, Charles Beaumont, George Smith, J. A. McCullogh, Harry Creed and F. H. Buren.
Those who attended the funeral from out of the city are Mr. and Mrs. George Ray and two children, Mrs. Frank Kenny, DeWitt, Mr. and Mrs. Norand Nichol, Maquoketa, Mr. Eckard, grandfather of Mrs. Thompkins, Delmar.
