page 6Funeral services for Mrs. Olaf Nelson, of near Cordova, were held at the Swedish Emmanuel church in Clinton Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev. C. S. Odell officiating. The Clinton service was in the Swedish language. English services were conducted at the home by the Clinton pastor in the forenoon, and auto funeral cortege accompanied the body to this city. Hundreds of friends and neighbors of Fenton, Port Byron, and Albany attended the Clinton service.
Burial was made in the Swedish cemetery, the following acting as pallbearers: Gus Meyers, Charles Nelson, Louis Lundeon, George Fullick, Gust Hagberg and John Larson.
Mrs. Nelson was a resident of Clinton before the family moved to Cordova. She was born in Vernland, Sweden, March 9, 1844, and came to Clinton in 1871, where she was married to Olaf Nelson.
She leaves besides her husband, four children, Elmer and Charles of Clinton, Victor and Hulda at home. Six grandchildren also survive.
