Joining his aged companion in death in less than eight hours' time, Hans Rose, 86 years old, passed away at Agatha hospital Monday morning at 7 o'clock. Both had been ill with pneumonia and a complication of diseases for several weeks, and were removed to the hospital a week ago for treatment. Mrs. Rose died Sunday night at midnight. She was 86 years old.

The couple lived alone in their little home at 678 Washington avenue. They have two sons, one in Nebraska and one in Dakota, and a daughter, Mrs. George Witt, on Harrison street in Clinton.

No funeral services were announced today.

A double funeral will be held Friday afternoon for Mr. and Mrs. Hans Rose who died at Agatha hospital. The service will take place at the home of their daughter, Mrs. George Witt, 310 Harrison street. Rev. Hugo Grimm will officiate.

Side by side in Springdale cemetery, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Rose were laid to rest Friday afternoon after a double funeral at the home of their daughter, Mrs. George Witt. The pallbearers were Carl Moore, Hohn Folgers, Henry Henningsen, Jr., James Reder, Henry Buell and Christian Behr.

Mr. and Mrs. Rose both came from Germany thirty years ago. Two years after arrival here they were married and came to Clinton to live. Besides their daughter in Clinton, they leave two sons, John and Hans. Mr. Rose has one brother, John Rose, of this city.

The Rev. Hugo Grimm of Lyons officiated at the double ceremony.
