page 6Jens Fehmann, foreman for years of the Smith Box factory, died suddenly Tuesday night as the result of a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Fehmann had not been sick, and was at work as usual all day Tuesday. He was taken suddenly ill after he returned home at 6 o'clock, and died a few hours later. Dr. Hullinger pronounced his death due to cerebral hemorrhage. Coroner Anderson was called, but decided an inquest was unnecessary.
Jens Fehmann was born in Germany 57 years ago January 17. He came to America 36 years ago, and has lived in Clinton nearly all that time. He never married, and has no relatives in this country. Two brothers in Germany survive. The man made his home with August Henningsen and family at 205 Thirteenth avenue.
No funeral arrangements have been made.

page 6Funeral services for Jens Fehmann were held Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Bragonier & Behr undertaking parlors on Third street. The Rev. J. H. Lutz of the German Evangelical church officiated.
Burial was made at Springdale, the following acting as pallbearers: Ernest Carstensen, Herman Otto, C. C. Kettelsen, John Gideonsen, William Lorenz and John Ryan.
