Herman Roesger, who passed away Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Willard C. Cook on Park avenue, came with Mrs. Roesger to Clinton last April from Dakota, where they had made their home for eight years.

Born in Saxon, Germany, in September, 1848, Mr. Roesger came to America when he was a young man. He leaves beside his wife and daughter with whom he lived, two other daughters and three sons. They are Emil of Princeton, John of McCausland, and Will of Moonville, S.D.; Mrs. Emma Knudsen of Linot, N.D., and Mrs. Freida Rippe of Ethart, Minn.

The funeral arrangements are awaiting word from the children, but will probably be held Saturday afternoon. Burial will be made at Princeton, Iowa.

Funeral services for Herman Roesger were held this afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Willard C. Cook, 136 1/2 Park avenue. The body was taken to Princeton for burial. Accompanying the body were Mr. and Mrs. Willard Cook of Clinton, John Roesger of McCausland and William Roesger of Moonville, S.D.

After funeral services at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. C. Cook Saturday, the body of Herman Roesger was taken to Princeton, where a short funeral service was held and interment made.

The following acted as pallbearers in Clinton: Peter Jurgensen, John Kempter, O. F. Allison, Andrew Olson, Stephen Dalton, Ed Ockenfels.

In Princeton the following took charge of the body: C. W. Ginneo, Ed Paitcher, S. R. Fulton, A. Danson, Willis Florance, John Bragonier.
