page 6Clarence Thomas, a well known Milwaukee switchman, is dead at his home 329 First avenue, death resulting from paralysis of the brain. Mr. Thomas had been ill during most of the past summer, and three weeks ago sustained the stroke which resulted fatally at 4 o'clock this morning.
The deceased was born on February 12, 1862, at Gloucester, Mass. He lived in Clinton many years, and formerly was a conductor on the Chicago & Northwestern. Surviving him are his wife, his mother, Mrs. William Knight of this city, a brother, Everett Knight, and a sister, Mrs. Duncan who lives in Kansas.
The funeral will be held from the residence next Tuesday afternoon.
