Fred Meyers, 428 North Second street died this morning at 7:20 o'clock, after an illness of many months. He was 59 years old.

Mr. Meyers was born in Canada, and came to Clinton to make his home when a young man. He has lived on North Second street for nearly 40 years. He was a barber by trade, and attended his duties up until a few months ago, when illness prevented him.

He leaves a wife and two children, Mrs. Will Galtry of Boone and Edward Meyers, at home, one granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. John Kempter of Clinton and Mrs. Tom Clarke of Chicago.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 from the home. Rev. J. S. Leamer will have charge. Burial will be made in Springdale cemetery.

Funeral services for Fred Meyers, an old resident of Clinton, were held at the home on Second street Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. J. S. Leamer.

Burial was made in Springdale cemetery. The pall bearers were: Ed Kamer, William Krouse, W. Wohlwend, Charles Conrad, Will Andrews and Herman Hansen.
